Jet Infosystems leads in Blue Coat sales in Russia and CIS

Moscow. Jet Infosystems in 2011 was a leading distributor of Blue Coat solutions in Russia and CIS in terms of sales as well as the number of completed projects. The company accounts for over 20% of total Blue Coat sales in this market.

Jet Infosystems has won the leading position in Blue Coat products sales and support for the third time. In 2011 it completed more than 20 projects using Blue Coat technology, in most cases combined with DLP solutions.

The largest projects involved internet access management and control systems. Such a system installed at Saint Petersburg Bank has provided the client with site access classification and virus protection for better staff performance and service quality. Home Credit Bank particularly appreciated the opportunity for launching new internet services without increasing bandwidth. This particular project also took full advantage of Blue Coat traffic optimization solutions.

The largest Blue Coat-based system implemented by Jet Infosystems in Ukraine was installed for Kievstar, a telecom operator, to create a comfortable environment for Internet users. The system features new client services such as parental control and an antivirus function.

“Last year saw a steady growth in the popularity of Blue Coat products among large market players. Over 30% of our projects were implemented in major companies with sophisticated IT infrastructures. This is twice as much as in 2010. Companies with an extensive branch network currently have a particular interest in Blue Coat solutions,” comments Kirill Viktorov, deputy director of business development, Jet Infosystems.

A partnership agreement signed with Blue Coat in 2007 made it possible for Jet Infosystems to expand its range of web security and WAN optimization technologies.
