Jet Infosystems becomes the first IBM partner in Russia to be awarded a cloud computing specialty status

Moscow – Jet Infosystems was awarded the IBM Cloud Computing (Cloud Builders) Specialty, which confirms its expertise in IBM Private Cloud-based solutions. So far, Jet Infosystems is the sole IBM partner in Russia to receive a specialty in cloud computing.

The IBM Cloud Computing Specialty was added to the vendor’s partnership program in 2011. It consists of five specific areas: Cloud Аpplication Рroviders, Cloud Builders, Cloud Infrastructure Providers, Cloud Services Solution Providers and Cloud Technology Providers. The specialty awarded to Jet Infosystems is Cloud Builders, an appreciation of its skills in the design, development and management of private cloud environments, as well as in Private Cloud integration with existing infrastructures.

To receive this specialty Jet Infosystems experts were trained by IBM. At the exam they demonstrated profound knowledge of the vendor’s cloud products and technologies as well as excellent expertise in other IT areas.

Andrey Shaposhnikov, Deputy Chief, computer systems design division at Jet Infosystems: “We have been dealing with cloud computing virtually since its advent to the Russian market. Last year in cooperation with IBM we built the first cloud demonstration bench in Russia that operated IBM Service Delivery Manager at the IBM Innovation Center in Moscow. A similar pilot system was installed at our Moscow office for testing cloud environments. Such benches, as well as the delivery of pilot projects, are a source of good hands-on experience in cloud services automation, which we are ready to offer to our clients.”

“Jet Infosystems’ focus on improving its technological expertise has helped it to obtain the IBM Cloud Builder status. Our productive cooperation will certainly help us tap new markets for innovative IBM solutions,” says Evgeniy Krivosheev, head of the business partners division, IBM Russia and CIS.
